At the Iowa State University Seed Laboratory, ensuring thorough testing is essential to maintaining quality standards. When we encounter a shortfall in received seeds for testing according to AOSA, ISTA, or Canadian guidelines, prompt action is our priority. Upon detection of such an issue, our Customer Care team promptly notifies concerned parties via email.
In the event of insufficient seeds, our “Additional seeds needed” email outlines the exact quantity required for testing completion and provides instructions for submission. We understand the importance of timely communication; therefore, we send a minimum of three reminders requesting additional seeds. Should no response be received within 90 days, our updated protocol mandates the cancellation and disposal of the sample.
Recognizing the value of flexibility, we offer the option for unofficial testing continuation upon request. Conversely, if cancellation is preferred, timely notification ensures efficient handling of samples—either their return or appropriate disposal.
At the Iowa State University Seed Laboratory, our commitment to comprehensive testing is matched only by our dedication to transparent communication and adherence to protocol.
