Internal Lab Name Change

We are updating our internal lab names to Seed Quality Testing and Seed Health Testing. In the past, we have referred to them as Non-Health and Health Labs. See below for what each lab provides:

  • Physical Purity, Noxious Exams, Seed Count, Moisture

Trait Lab

  • Trait Presence Testing
 Health Lab

  • ELISA, Bacterial Plate, Fungal Blotter and Plate Testing, Wash and Soak Testing, Seedling Growouts

DNA Lab

  • PCR Testing

Customer Care will soon be sending emails daily to notify you that your samples have arrived and been entered into our system. These emails will be sent automatically at the end of every business day. They will be sent only to the main account contact. If you have any questions as to who your main contact is, feel free to send us an email at seedlab@iastate.edu and we can provide that information. If you would like to change the main contact on the account, please let us know.

NOTE: This email DOES NOT mean the tests have been started. This just advises that your samples have arrived in our office and are now headed to the lab for processing.
